Bill and Marilyn were named Clinton's Outstanding Citizens of the Year for 2015 by the Chamber of Commerce, and their team was selected as the 2015 Olde Towne Business of the Year by the Clinton Main Street Association. Bill is a co-founder of the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame and Museum, and a former president of the Hinds County Economic Development Authority’s Board of Trustees.

Bill is a member of the RE/MAX Hall of Fame and earned the Lifetime Achievement Award during his time with RE/MAX.

Bill and Marilyn have two grown daughters. They enjoy traveling, reading, and exploring the excellent restaurants in and around Jackson. They attend Holy Savior Catholic Church.
